Anchorage, Wasilla, and Sitka Oh my!

Hellooo out there!

So I have been looking into some different cities within Alaska to narrow my search down. You might be able to guess from the title that I am looking into Anchorage, Wasilla, and Sitka. As with my last post I would really love to hear from people who live in these areas and what type of you have had, especially if you have come to Alaska from somewhere else.

Secondly, I have been doing research on what you need to do in order to be a teacher in Alaska. Which sounds pretty simple to me from reading the ATP website. However, I would like to hear from people who are currently teaching in Alaska and what the experience has been like.

Project Moving to Alaska

Hi there!

I am hoping to get some help and opinions with this blog. I am getting started with a masters program to be come a teacher and have been researching interesting places to teach. I am really drawn to teaching in Alaska at the moment and am planning to visit the state. However, I know you can't really get a feel for a place you want to live solely through vacation.

So, this brings me to the point where I need a little assistance! :) I would like to hear from people who have moved to Alaska or live in Alaska. I would like to hear first hand experiences of what living in Alaska is like. If anyone out there is a teacher and would like to respond that would be great!

I won't overwhelm everyone with questions today and want to say thank you in advance for anyone who happens to catch this blog and respond!
